Smithsonian — Annual Report
Good design lives beyond the digital world. For Annual Reports it is important to leverage clear reporting, aesthetic visuals, infographics, concise copy, and engaging layout hierarchies. My experience in user-centered design shines through this type of reporting, where numbers can tell a story.
My Role
Following the successful completion of the inaugural Annual Report, I was invited back to create the next report. As the lead Graphic Designer on this project, I leveraged a deep understanding of visual information design and strategically integrated timelines, charts, and infographics to make data more engaging and comprehensible—crucial for effectively communicating with diverse groups.

Design Approach
For the Smithsonian's Annual Report, I initiated the process by evaluating the previous year's report, identifying successes and areas for improvement. Drawing on feedback and analytics, I iteratively enhanced the design, employing UX principles to ensure optimal content organization and user comprehension, demonstrating a holistic approach to design strategy and user-centered information presentation.
